BREAKING NEWS

Father and son reunited as Oaklands new coach and former coach of Panama City Breakers Jarvis Isenhour swings a deal for star his son and all-star center Rob Isenhour. The deal sends Zac Sheppard and rookie Ryu Ken Hiro to division rival Seattle Grunge for Rob Isenhour, Veteran star guard Dereck Fisher and a first round pick. Coach Isenhour commented on the deal....

"Swung a deal to get my boy to Oakland, I believe that's a first for WBS. Father and son coaching player duo, let me tell you why, Oakland is no longer going to be a mat for people to clean their feet on JACK!, There is still a ton of season to go so expect us to be in full competition mode. This is just a first deal in many. I am also announcing it so I am clear and transparent I will also be moving Lincoln Hollis, Jerome King, Vojislav Kraljevic and newly acquired PG Derek Fisher. Oakland will be a young, energetic team with a team first mentality. There is no room for complacency and complaining. It's a New Day, JACK! "

Interesting developments as Seattle just made a splash and are telling their fans that the playoffs are not enough. Seattle looks to be going for it all. On the Okland side of the ball, looks like he is cleaning house and flipping talented veteran guard Derek Fisher and moving former Steals leader and veteran all-star guard Jerome King. More to come on news that seems to be making waves throughout the league.

WEEK 5 NEWS

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Maryjan Javonich puts up 163 points in a 3 game span including two 65 point games back to back in what some are saying is the greatest back to back performance of a WBS players sine Bar Harbor's Noah Archer put up plus 50 points 4 games in a row back in season 7. With chants of MVP blarring at each home game Maryjan Javonavic is having his best season to date.

----------OTHER LEAGUE NEWS--------------

(Mist) - Smokey Mountain Jumps to 2nd place in the division with a 3 game win streak that saw 3 players get double digit Rebs and Points in 3 straight games. Coach Robert Murry known for being a tough no nonsense coach has found harmony coaching his young players. One young player said "He's tough, but fair" like my grandad.

(Moguls) Another sideline explosion after coach Bedard decides to start Anderson to motivate him quickly backfires as Deaundra refuses to leave the game late first quarter causing Hingle McCringleberry to grab Anderson and push him off the court. After being Benched for Anderson, SF Melikis tells reporters that "The locker room has become a circus like nothing he has ever seen" Owner Eddie Phoenix Jr says if GM Digger doesn't handle the situation this week he will have to make a decision if he wants to keep being the GM of Manhattan.

(Breakers) While Terrel Robinson is making his case for Rookie of the year, Panama city gets dealt two blows as Pabcevic and Thorton go down with nagging injuries they can't seem to shrug off during this weeks stretch of games. With only 4 wins fans and analyst can't figure out why with so much talent Panama can't seem to win games.

(Scorpions) A huge victory against Vancouver salvages what would have been 3 loses for Black Rock, but through the smoke comes a silver lining as Tobias Brown has really turned it on averaging 29 points during the stretch. Coach Jackson met with reporters and said "We have guys stepping up all over the place, they just haven't all stepped up together. Once we get everyone running on the same track we'll be dangerous considering how good Berry is playing right now"

(Grunge) Zac Sheppard fizzles offensively during the three-game stretch which has fans already calling the trade a bust and questioning GM Josh decision to trade away fan and locker room favorite Rob Isenhour. When approached about his performance Sheppard made it very clear "I'm here to win games and make money. We are winning games, I'm making money, life is good, I don't care about all that other noise"

(Hustle) Coach Isenhour has Oakland playing well as the trade that brings in his son Rob Isenhour who pours in 26 points and 10 rebs and opens up a spot for Alexander Ludwig who pours in 36 looks like a good move. While fans are still skeptical there seems to be new life back in Oakland.

(Freeze) While Vancouver's Derion Williams recovers and plays with heavy heart, he still manages to play well but while most teams that score 140 and 139 win those games, Vancouvers weakness is starting to show as their lack of defense late in games dooms them to 0-2 for the week. Coach Boone was very upset with their lost to Black Rock as he was overheard saying "How can we lose to a team llike this" as he was walking down the tunnel after the loss.

(Muertos) A heated exchange between Jared Anderson and Spark Phoenix was caught on camera at the end of the Seattle game after Spark Phoenix took the game winning 3 point shot that rattled out the rim to cost Mexico the game. Replays show Jared was covered but was still asking for the ball as Spark took a wide-open shot. Reporters tried to catch up to Jared but all he said was "The play was drawn for me" Some are speculating after Jared missed the game winner in their first match up with Seattle, that was the reason Spark took the shot. After a 1-3 week, the Muertos seem to be in a tail spin.

(Storm) Bar Harbor gets absolutely pummeled by Smokey Moutain has fans asking for GM Franchise to make a move. Word from sources say that Noah Archer is not happy with having to cut his vacation in FIJI short and that he's coming to stay. Once again Bar Harbor sports talk radio is calling for Noah to put back on the Jersey and help this team out.

(Saviors) Kasey Babayaga and Fender Esquire have a back and forth for the ages as Motor City jumps out to a 53-19 first quarter lead. Texas has no quit as they storm back on the back of Babayaga but Fender and Fonseca prove to be just to much down the stretch. Owner Morgan Dean is questioning his coach's ability to manage in game situations as he watched coach Grimes keep sitting the hot hand in Stoneking and continue to put in rookie Forrest Greenleaf for 30 minutes and put up 8 points, 5 fouls and 2 turnovers.

(Patriots) What was labeled game of the week did not disappoint as Patriots Big win over a surging Seattle has fans and owner Don Potus thinking playoffs as the D.C Patriots official web page just listed first round playoff tickets to go on sale after the All-Star break. After Johnny Walls hit the last second fade away shot for the win fans stormed the court in celebration. Officials are worried that this type of celebration during a regular season game may be dangerous for fans and players and are asking the commissioner to step in for safety concerns.

(Machines) Motor City looks unstoppable as Troy Mitchell looks to lead the league in assist once again. Good thing for Motor city because Fonseca and Fender make sure they will not win assist leader, but they may not have to if they keep playing the way they are and with Morgoone starting to get hot, this team looks to be the most dangerous in the league. Reporters tried to get a comment from Fender who avoided all reporters, Morgoone did not and stated he never knew beating teams the way they are can be so much fun.

BREAKING NEWS....BREAKING NEWS....BREAKING NEWS....BREAKING NEWS....BREAKING NEWS

Manhattan Moguls owner Eddie Phoenix Jr releases GM Digger after both mutually decide to part ways. GM Digger put a team together that went to the playoffs last season but fell short to Oakland Hustle. This season with the departure of Fender Esquire the team was ready to move on with all the new acquisitions but coach of the year, David Bedard could only do so much as an already fragile and volatile locker room seems to have imploded. With GM Digger to make the hard decisions the team has slid to last place for the first time in their historic history. Owner Eddie Phoenix Jr spoke to the press after GM Diggers release....

"This was a business move. GM Digger wasn't present during one of the teams most tremulous times and we found ourselves in a very unfamiliar place in the standings. A place that is unacceptable to myself, the fans and the players. After GM Digger and I had a meeting, we thought it would be best for everyone involved and we wish GM Digger the best in his future endeavors but now we look ahead. First course of action is to move Deaundra Anderson. We are taking offers and hope to get this done no later than next week. Until we find a New Gm all team operations and team business will be conducted by Zelda Cortes"

WEEK 7 NEWS

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Player of the week honors had a lot of contenders, so let's acknowledge the other players who were in line. Though Jared Anderson had a monster week and Kurt Berry once again led the Black Rock Scorpions to an upset victory, Deaundra Anderson has found new life in Bar Harbor. What started off as a rocky introduction to the Harbo City of Maine, Deaundra quickly rooted himself in and took over this week. The week started off with a vital win at Panama. With 9 seconds left and the game tied, Anderson made two clutch free throws to give Bar Harbor the lead by 2 points. With second remaining, miscommunication between Erick Victor and Adrian Summerall saw the inbound pass get knocked away by Dunkatron who quickly threw the alley-oop and Deaundra slammed it down with time expiring to lead Bar Harbor to a 4-point win. Bar Harbor would go on to sweep the weep with Anderson pouring in 13, 28 and 31 points while averaging a double and adding 5 blocks.

----WBS INJURY NEWS----

Motor City did not only suffer a loss from a last second by Smokey Mountains Da'Youngster Octavious, they suffered a huge loss as center Wei Quo Lie went down with what seemed like a sprained ankle but was later revealed to be a season ending ACL tear. The 32 year old came back from China to try and win a title and now suffers what could be a career ending injury. Wei would not give a response but many within the Motor City organization say he was distraught and would head back to China in hopes of finding doctors who could help him come back this season. With the season shortened, it now seems highly improbable, but nothing is impossible.

"In an unprecedented move by eccentric Bar Harbor owner and former WBS All Star and Future WBS Hall of Famer Noah Archer, he hands over the rights to the Bar Harbor Storm to GM Franchise. Details of the transfer of ownership have not all been released but it seems like GM Franchise will be the rightful owner of the Storm but has until the end of season 13 to find an owner or risk relinquishing ownership and GM Duties to the board of trustees who agreed to this deal. With this deal, owners are lining up including disgruntled ex-employee and what many thought was the rightful Aire to the Bar Harbor Strom franchise, Rosita Ahab. Sources close to the situation say she is already putting together a superstar group, many speculate that the group maybe comprised of owners to put in a bid or a superstar group of lawyers to take what she believes is hers. More news as this situation develops"
