GM Lane

Heard. Thanks for coming to see me.

==========================================
Dani, bring in Vardy.

==========================================
Hey Fabian. Thanks for coming in. I heard about Bobbitt's comments. I told him to keep everything in house next time and to not trash teammates publicly.I do want to understand why the ball hasn't gone his way. We brought him in to help you out. I know this season isn't what we wanted, but it's what we have. What's going on?

Talon

His antics and attitude are atrocious. If he gets open at some point on a play and the ball wasn't coming his way he flaps his arms like a bloody pheasant and squawks on the sidelines as if the queen just put her toes in his marmite and asked him to lick it off.  Honestly, I've got little time for such bollocks.

GM Lane

Understood. I'll have the coaches get him in line.

GM Lane

Hey Dani...bring in coach

=======================================
Coach, I have only one adjustment. I know you're doing the best with what you have. Make sure Bobbitt remains on his best behavior for the remainder of the season. We're in a rebuild. We don't have time for wild antics and ridiculous behavior. Please let me know if you get too much pushback. If he can't help us rebuild, I'll get rid of him.

I'm on it.   With our season all but over, we have the option to lock in for the remainder of the season.
Its completely optional, but if you don't plan on making any more changes and want to put it on cruise control, we can handle the rest.

If not, like I said, that's fine too.

END OF SEASON PRESS CONFERENCE

1. How do you feel your team performed down the stretch run of this season, did anyone stand out to you for the better or worst?

2. What was one thing you feel like you would change about your off-season if you could?

3. Which four players would you say were your teams pillars for the future?

WHEN YOU HAVE CONCLUDED YOUR PRESS CONFERENCE YOU WILL BE LOCKED UNTIL THE PRE-OFFSEASON (POST-IMPACT BOWL WEEK)

Ladies and gentlemen of the media, let me begin with an apology.

I apologize that my general manager has neglected his duty to close our the season with this sit down to address the media and the fans.  It's something I am not pleased with in the slightest.

Now let me say that while this season was a disappointment, I am optimistic about our future.  GM Lane will have a large pool of draft picks to use to reshape this roster and fix the holes we clearly have.   He will be evaluated largely on how this draft shakes out, so I am expecting aggressive scouting and even more aggressive moving to get the players we need.  14 draft picks, 3 firsts, and 7 in the first three rounds, we should come out of this draft with starters, not prospects.

With that, I will take your questions....

MAX CROWE SPENDS OVER AN HOUR WITH THE MEDIA SINCE THE GM DID NOT.

GM Lane

Hey Dani, bring coach in.

============================================
Coach, you did a great job this season with what you were given. I'd love your input on the draft. I'm looking heavily at defensive line and QB. Any other holes you want address in the first three rounds?

Talon

Obviously our scouting will play a large part in that, but I think QB and pass rush are two huge areas of need, so we're on the same page.

We've seen talented QBs fall into the 2nd and 3rd, so I'd prioritize the D-line.

Talon

Last chance to extend any contracts before they expire to free agency, but if you're all set we can lock in to close out S17.

GM Lane

No need to resign anymore players for now. Let's lock in.

Talon

Hello Mr. Lane, Here is our team off-season primer.  It shows our current roster (including expired players and coaches but without their contract values) our current draft picks for the next 3 seasons, and our budget.

Talon

In the event either of coordinators get an offer for a head coaching position, I'd like to know what the max I'll have in my budget to retain them would be. PM me the figures when you think about it, and if we don't wish to retain them at all, let me know so they don't miss out on an interview out of loyalty when we don't plan to bring them back.

GM Lane

You can leverage $4MM per year as the cap for a coordinators salary. Please use your discretion for who fits our scheme.

GM Lane

Scratch that coach's I analyzed the market and that is far too little. Let's go with $10MM

GM Lane

Hello Coach. I do have a question on your preferences for the defensive side of the ball moving forward. Do we want to try and workout this 3-4, or go with a 4-3 and adjust our draft strategy?

Talon

I think you're missing how things are working.  You need to hire the coordinators with the list I gave you as a guide for their interest and cost.

I'm able to run a 4-3, so that's fine with me if you want to change, but I want my son as the d-coordinator either way.
