If you are taking recommendations Franchise pick Fosters as Chancellor - see if he has the same stuff as a Chancellor that he did as a president

I was thinking that myself ironically.

Nominate Fosters for Chancellor

Ouch! We're going to need to hear what went down! What did you get given Ed? and what did you receive Eli?

Also Ed let's not forget to answer this question when you get around to us

GM Lucas

I couldn't get on, on time but yes I was given 3 reds.

GM Dougie

Voting for Franchise/Fosters

Yes - 3

Voting phase deadline is 8pm EST tomorrow. But one more yes moves us on

GM Eli

With what Ed confirmed that should put our deck (if everyone has been honest) at..

5 reds and 3 blues.

GM Dougie

We are once again in government phase. No talking please.

GM Dougie

Thank you for the quick responses to keep the game moving! You all rock.

----

The government has met and have enacted a...

Liberal Policy

Talking may resume. Josh is now next president. Franchise and Fosters are ineligible to become chancellor.

GM Eli

Usual questions. What cards were given?

I think we stick with the Pancho/Fosters tandem as chancellor until we have a reason not to.

GM Franchise

I got 3 blues which is a big win. I'll take it.

GM Fosters

I can confirm I was given two blues, and played a blue... could have some rough hands to be dealt coming up though.

GM Eli

Yeah three blues means the next two hands are going to be 2/3 red (at best) and 3/3 red.

Again provided everyone has told the truth so far.

GM Eli

Of course that order could be 3/3 and 2/3 as well.

Reason?

Anyone in particular?

I'm always down to Chancellor

Btw that reminds me - when does electing Hitler become a loss for the Liberals?  Didn't see that in the rules nor what the policy count we need to get to for Liberals is either

GM Josh

Damn you all are moving real quick lol.

I nominate Pancho for chancellor

Just to see who's bullshitting and who isn't. I think people are lying about their cards too. Call it a hunch after getting 3 blues.

It's after 3 red policies if Hitler is elected chancellor fascists win. Otherwise it's 6 red policies for fascists to win.

5 blues for liberals to win.

Vote: Yes

Thanks Eli - thought the numbers may have changed with the players we have

GM Dougie

And just like that Josh/Pancho reaches the 4 yes vote threshold. To another government phase we go!

GM Dougie

The government has met and have enacted a...

Liberal Policy

Talking may resume. Oldfield is now next president. Josh and Pancho are ineligible to become chancellor.

GM Josh

Got 2 red and a blue given to me.

GM Oldfield

Piece of cake. Gonna keep the tactics going.

Nominate Fosters

GM Eli

By rights there should not have been a blue card dealt to Josh that round, if everyone is being honest. We were out of blue cards until the reshuffle which should happen on this hand. Right now, had everyone been telling the truth about what cards they were given, the deck would stand at

2 reds, -1 blues.

I think this most likely means that one of the presidents so far has been lying. But, I'm not sure why a President would claim to have been given an extra blue and discarded it when it was really a red. It seems off to me and I need to go back and see what each president claimed they kept vs. what they passed on. I think the liar can be found in the president that claims to have kept a blue, and passed two other cards onto their chancellor.

GM Eli

This is, of course, is my math is right regarding the cards. If someone would like to go back and double check my math I would appreciate that.

GM Oldfield

Have I missed a round from when you said this then?

GM Eli

But I do think we should continue with the Fosters/Pancho chancellor thing. We only need one more blue.

But I would also remind everyone that the deck SHOULD stand at 2 red cards remaining right now, with the third card kinda being an unknown as it comes in off a reshuffle of the discard pile.

The available deck now that five policies have been played, combining the two unplayed cards and the discarded cards, is:

2 blue cards, 10 red cards. This part is objectively true, no matter what people have been dealt, as these numbers are determined based off of the initial deck minus policies played.

No, you haven't missed anything just the order I had put those in was wrong. We were out of blues in the deck, according to the cards that everyone has claimed to have been given so far.

So really the next 5 cards in the deck should have all been red, again if everyone was honest which we now know they weren't. It should have been 3 reds, then 2 reds plus a card that got drawn in from the reshuffle of the discarded cards.

GM Eli

GM Fosters

Weird. Usually you end up with more reds available than previously thought... odd for someone to have lied about discarding a blue?

Makes no sense... either way I'm happy to be Chancellor.

Vote Yes

Yeah it is weird to claim to have discarded a blue that was actually a red card. That's what I'm struggling to understand.

GM Josh

vote: yes

It is weird to lie about, but at the same time it still works in our favor as long as we get at least a blue card with this round.

GM Dougie

Voting for Oldfield/Fosters is at 3 yes votes. Voting and talking will continue for now. Deadline for voting is 8pm EST tomorrow

GM Dougie

We are in government phase. No talking please.

GM Dougie

The government has met and have enacted a...

Fascist Policy

Talking may now resume but presidency has not yet transferred as there is a presidential power to resolve.

GM Fosters

I was given two reds. We really can't let the fascists get back into this game, we need to make sure we get a blue policy played by the next government

GM Dougie

Power resolved (since it only requires me to send information to the president)

Pancho is now next president. Oldfield and Fosters are ineligible to become chancellor.

GM Oldfield

Three reds. Sorry guys.

I however have found out what the next three policy colours in the pack are and it's blue red red. So as long as we pick the right guy to be chancellor and Pancho hasn't been playing the long game as facist I think we've won

GM Fosters

This is worrying as I haven't got a good read on who the fascists are. If we were to decline this government could I then name Pancho as the chancellor? That's the only way I can think we'd get our proven combination to ensure a blue gets played?

GM Eli

If the next card to be played is blue we can decline the government 3 times in a row and then the next card up will be played as the policy.
