BREAKING NEWS:  SYDNEY GIVES RECORD SHATTERING CONTRACT TO JAPANESE SAFETY HIDEKI OKADA AFTER INTENSE BIDDING WAR WITH ATLANTA!

SYDNEY -- A new power broker has emerged in short order in the football world as Mila Tkachuk has negotiated one of the most lucrative deals in the history of international football transfers while helping disgruntled Japanese Safety Hideki Okada sign the largest deal for a safety in HIFL history.

After negotiations with Oakland, Atlanta, and Sydney began at the start of phase two of IFA, Okada quickly found himself with a series of competitive offers but an aggressive late bid from Xavier Lucas and the Sydney Stingrays has insured Okada will get to play closer to Japan while receiving all of the benefits of making the leap to the High Impact Football League.

With a massive six year deal in place, Okada will have a lot to live up to but his camp believes he will exceed all expectations.

On the first day of Free agency, former #1 overall pick Ricky Tarr Jr. committed to a 3 year deal with the Oakland Silverbacks.  Tarr Jr. will be reunited with his father, Oakland head coach Ricky Tarr.    The contract is said to be worth $22MM per season with incentives that could make the deal a Max or even super-max contract.   Tarr was said to be seeking over $30MM per season on the open market but the chance to play with his father as head coach was an opportunity worth making the sacrifice, especially if his performance can earn the max or supermax incentives.

Harlan Slater is set to become the highest paid guard in pro football after signing a 3 year pact with the Michigan Monsters.  The deal is said to be worth $19MM annually, with a clause to match the highest paid guard in the league in future years if anyone exceeds the current $19MM annual value of the deal.
Slater has long been one of the most talented guards in the league after dominating in Miami and Sydney, two teams with consistent playoff resumes.

UFA REPORT: WR DOUGLAS FOWLER SIGNS 4 YEAR DEAL WITH AMSTERDAM SMOKE, FORMER #1 OVERALL PICK REUNITED WITH THE GM WHO DRAFTED HIM

AJ Campanelli will be getting a new receiver to throw to when he returns from his season ending injury.   Today the Smoke have reportedly signed former #1 overall draft pick Douglas Fowler to a 4 year deal.    Fowler played for Kansas City for 3 season before spending the next 4 in Las Vegas and then the past two seasons in Salt Lake.  For his career Fowler has 741 receptions for 12,207 yards, and 93 touchdowns.

Fowler ranks 9th all time in receptions and receiving yards, and 10th all time in receiving touchdowns.

UFA REPORT: FROM RIVAL TO CORNERSTONE!  FORMER DALLAS QB HILTON KEEGAN INKS 3 YEAR DEAL WITH SAN ANTONIO TO HELP QB MARKET BEGIN TO TAKE SHAPE!

The first domino in the 2026 QB market has fallen as the San Antonio Knights sign Hilton Keegan to a 3 year deal worth a reported $24MM per season.   Keegan was once a candidate to be the #1 overall pick in the HIFL amateur draft before choosing the XFL instead, but when the XFL and PFL merged, Keegan elected to join the HIFL signing with the Expansion Dallas Mariachis where he played for the past four seasons.
During that time Keegan started 50 games, missing 13 games over the last two years due to injury.  Keegan managed 11,095 yards on 62.2% passing with 65 TDs and 32 INTs with a QB rating of 89.1   Keegan also showed off his scrambling ability with 1322 yards rushing and 10 rushing TDs during that same 4 year stretch.

Keegan now looks to show he can stay healthy and win games in Kelly Stark's spread offense and he will get a chance to play twice a season against the team that let him walk in free agency.  Keegan spoke to the press via zoom saying:

"The chance to win the Governor's Belt Buckle is important to me.  I've played for that prize for the last four seasons and to get the chance to win in for the next three-plus years here in San Antonio is exciting.  I'm about to make a lot of people feel stupid for saying I was headed into the back-up QB market."

UFA REPORT: DESPITE FACING POSSIBLE PRISON TIME IN 2026, WINNIPEG SIGNS EX-CON AARON TIBBETS TO POTENTIAL 4 YEAR DEAL!

The Winnipeg Arctic Foxes have had success with a very well known Big Baller Brand prospect in Patrick Owen.  GM Cory is now going back to the well with an even more controversial move by signing former PFL'er Aaron Tibbetts, the ex-con younger brother of legendary wide receiver Burton Tibbetts, who served a 10 year sentence for gun related crimes stemming from an incident in 2015.

Tibbetts deal is rumored to be a 4 year deal that comes with multiple outs for the Arctic Foxes in the event that Tibbetts is charged in his upcoming trial, but  regardless of the contract, fans and critics alike are flooding social media with their takes on the move.

UFA REPORT: JAMES PORTER COMING HOME TO SOUTH CAROLINA AS MYRTLE BEACH NATIVE INKS DEAL WITH MASTODONS WORTH BIG MONEY!

After winning an Impact Bowl last season with Las Vegas, former #3 overall pick James Porter has signed a 3 year deal to return to where it all began.  The 28 year old is coming home to play for his hometown Mastodons after spending the last 7 seasons in St. Louis and Las Vegas.   

Considered an elite talent since his arrival in the league, Porter has 151 PDs and 15 INTs across his 100 career starts and has been a shutdown corner on one of the most feared defenses in the league for the past several years.

GM Gooch was said to have put the full court press on Porter and it appears to have paid off as the Mastodons look to right the ship after back to back seasons resulting in top 5 draft picks.

Porter was believed to be targeted by Michigan and St. Paul as well, but they will have to look elsewhere for their CB1.

New Sydney Stingrays GM Xavier Lucas has made another big splash.  Just a week after giving a record shattering contract to Japanese safety Hideki Ohtani during International Free Agency and then making a trade with the PFL's Las Vegas Gamblers to acquire controversial wide receiver Hollywood Experience, Lucas has given a lucrative deal to former Music City Kings Edge Rusher, Dale Bright.

Bright who has 104 sacks in 128 career starts including 45 in the past two seasons, has been a model of consistency over his HIFL career having started every game since being drafted 18th overall by the Rapid City Inferno in 2018.  A constant producer of pressure on the run and pass games, Bright finished last season with a career best 74 tackles, 16 TFLs, 27 hurries, 26 knockdowns, and 24 sacks while forcing 7 fumbles. 

The deal is said to be worth $30MM this season but rumors indicate the Season 18 and 19 salary could flirt with the uncharted waters of $40MM per year.

DALLAS -- A day after popular actor CB Porter signed a deal with the Myrtle Beach Mastodons, the Dallas Mariachi's stole headlines by signing Ft. Worth based controversial Country Musician Fulton Summer to a massive deal worth $30MM per season.

Fulton Summer is best know for his early 2000's one-hit wonder "Red White and Abused: A ballad of Texas love" and more recently the controversial single "The Texas Blues in open G(string)" a song that encouraged "Free Use" sexual exploits while criticizing the general public for the negative stigma that goes along with the alternative life style.
