Talon

I was given two blues from Pancho.

GM Eli

Going to wait to hear from Pancho before I make my nomination but I'm willing to listen to anyone who feels strongly about who should be chosen. Right now I'm leaning toward Oldfield because we know he has played a blue card when given a choice between red and blue.

Talon

Which is why I say its ridiculous to play anything but a blue your first turn through, because it creates a false sense of security.
I dont mind Oldfield but by no means is he cleared after one blue policy.

I'd prefer Franchise personally but I dont feel strongly enough to vote against anyone yet

GM Franchise

My spider senses are going off after this, I'll leave it at that.

GM Storm

If you want to test me I would accept a nomination for chancellor but if you want to go with someone else I don't see any reason to say no to anyone right now.

GM Pancho

Was given three blues so I tossed a blue.

GM Eli

I wonder what the odds are that Talon would be given 3 reds and Pancho would be given 3 blues when they're paired up.

Anyway, I think I'm gonna go with my gut instinct and roll with Oldfield as my nominee.

Nominate Oldfield

Good question. I feel like we'll be linked no matter what.

GM Dougie

We're at 3 yes votes and deadline is under 4 hours away.

Nominate Oldfield

21% chance to draw three reds to start the game.

46% chance of drawing 2 red 1 blue on the next round (which Stormfield did)

6% chance of drawing 3 straight blues from the remaining deck.

Really good chance of a heavy red draw here if that is the case should be a 6/2 red/blue split.

GM Dougie

The government has met and have enacted a...

Fascist Policy

Talking may now resume but presidency has not yet transferred as there is a presidential power to resolve.

GM Eli

I was given 3 reds. Obviously passed two onto Oldfield.

GM Oldfield

Two reds for me. Did you use your power?

GM Dougie

Presidential Power has been resolved.

Oldfield is now president. Only Eli is ineligible to be chancellor.

GM Franchise

That definitely wasn't good. I'm hoping the next few draws are more even or mostly blue instead of heavy red.

Yeah I don't think I had an option on the power resolving. It just happens. What it told me is something I'll keep to myself for now just for the purposes of keeping everyone honest.

Obviously not the draw we were hoping for. But with two blue cards left in the deck if everyone has been honest (and my math is right... someone please check that for me though) we should be seeing blues soon I would think.

GM Franchise

I wouldn't count on everyone being honest in this game...

What is the logic in keeping the policy peek secret? If you're a liberal, we want that information out beforehand, that way there can be absolutely no shenanigans. If you're fascist however, hiding this intel until after the draw can be used to create distrust and confusion, or worse yet, cause false confidence in a potential fascist partner.

Not liking this play. At all.

I'm not going to put it out there and have Oldfield draw something different and then claim I'm lying. I want to know if he's going to tell the truth about his draw or not. I'll wait until he tell us what he got and then I'll confirm or deny.

And I don't really care if you like the play or not. At all.

GM Mike Powers

The information being given after the fact makes it completely useless.

GM Eli

It being given ahead of time makes it completely useless too. The same arguments you used against keeping it to myself can be used against sharing it. And the fact that you're being so pushy about it being out there is a little eyebrow raising as a fascist trying to protect their partner from being exposed would try to force information thats out of their control from a liberal.

Is that what you're doing, Powers?

GM Mike Powers

Lmao, sure buddy.

Holding onto the info until after the fact means that we have to trust you. Just you.

Giving the info now means that it handcuffs Oldfield and Pancho. They'd both have to disagree with you - it is tougher for one to lie about the draw, unless they're both fascists and in in it together to frame you. If at least one of the two is liberal, you're safe right?

GM Mike Powers

Talon

GM Pancho

Vote: Yes

I'm kind of leaning towards Powers on this as initially keeping information secret rubs me the wrong way. But I'm not opposed to new tactics - results will matter I suppose.

GM Franchise

Vote: No

I don't trust any of y'all at this point especially with Powers information and the timing he released it which are both very suspect in my opinion.

Whaaaa?

GM Dougie

We are in government phase with Oldfield and Pancho. No talking please.

GM Dougie

The government has met and have enacted a...

Fascist Policy

Talking may now resume but presidency has not yet transferred as there is a presidential power to resolve and its an important one.

OLDFIELD must choose who the next president is. He can pick anyone but himself. This is a special election so regardless what happens with the next voting phase, order will return to where it was supposed to be. Oldfield you may ask me any clarification questions in messages if you wish but you will pick the next president publicly in the game thread. Regular chancellor rules apply therefore Pancho and Oldfield are not eligible to be a chancellor. Regular voting rules also apply.

Additional reminder, with 3 fascist policies on the board, the extra win conditions for each team have been unlocked:

If a president with a kill power is able to kill Hitler, Liberals win.
If Hitler is elected chancellor in a government and it receives the 4 yes votes necessary, Fascists win.

Yeah, I'm sticking with my No voting stance after this. I don't trust any government after this.

Correct. My bad on that but my trust level in this game is near zero at this point.

GM Oldfield

Franchise being suspicious of everyone at the moment makes him the only one I am really certain is blue right now. So I am selecting him as president

Talon

Raise your hand if you aren't currently suspicious of everyone.

If you aren't raising your hand you should be after how this game is going right now. That said, I've been by far the most vocal one about it and the only No vote so far. That's been the right move and I stand by it.

Talon

the deck was pretty stacked for a red draw.  It doesn't mean the government was fascist.

I'm saying everyone is pretty sus of everyone else right now, I shouldn't have to shout IM SUSPICIOUS OF ALL YALL to be suspicious.

I don't object to you being President, but the reasoning behind it was just weird, as if you're the only one who feels like you can't trust anybody.     Just because I support you being president doesnt mean I'll support who you pick as chancellor, every vote matters now because one wrong move and its end game.

Oldfield, what did you draw and what did you discard?

GM Franchise

Every vote matters, yes, and I've been voting no because no one has proven to be trustworthy enough to vote for going by the draws. I also think at least one person lied about their draw so that's also a factor.

GM Storm

I don't know how anyone could trust anyone in this game. I think Oldfield is probably liberal because he picked blue over red when I offered him one of each but he also could have picked blue to conceal that he's a fascist. Who knows? It's impossible to be sure.

So I guess we're just waiting for Oldfields draw to be revealed and then for Eli to finally tell us his information?

GM Dougie

Franchise is officially president during special election period. Oldfield and Pancho are ineligible to be chancellor.

GM Eli

Curious to see who Franchise selects as chancellor since he doesn't trust anyone.

Talon

So far Ive had 3 reds drawn and 2 blues passed to me, I'd be happy to give Franchise a chance to test me if he'd like.  If no one else is going to step up and make a pitch for why they should be chancellor.  I'd also be okay with Pancho, outside of that, I'm not sure if I'd vote yes to anyone else yet.

GM Eli

Well Pancho can't be chancellor this round so that's out.

GM Franchise

I'm leaning Storm currently. He's the player I think is most likely to be a liberal.
