Quote from: GM Kirk on May 29, 2024, 07:10:30 PMVote: yes

With this vote we have a confirmed government. Please hold. No more talking

GM Eli

The government has met and have enacted a...

Fascist Policy

With a second fascist policy played there was a presidential power to resolve, the policy peek, and that power has been completed.

Doug is now president. Kirk and Oldfield are ineligible to be Chancellor..

GM Dougie

Well let's hear the cards

By the way there's currently no reason to pick anyone but Pancho or Talon atm.

Anyway let's hear the cards

GM Kirk

Vote: Franchise

I got 3 reds, so he is full of it.

GM Kirk

The next set of cards is 2 blue and 1 red. Someone with maths can figure out the odds of two governments with all red cards so early.

GM Mike Powers

Yeah, I'll remember this if this happens with your turn later in the game.

I didn't forget about this and the whiny response blaming me for it doesn't surprise me at all.

Quote from: GM Kirk on May 30, 2024, 07:21:20 PMVote: Franchise

No, you're full of it and your hypocrisy over your cards proves that point.

Someone is lying, just need to figure out who.

GM Pancho

I've been president but not chancellor. I passed two blues to Talón so he didn't make a choice. Be smart to test him again or pick ol reliable in me.

Talon

I'm good with being Chancellor again.

GM Dougie

Pancho you said you discarded a red so in essence you didn't test him the first time. You could have but didn't.

So for that reason I'll choose Talon because if what kirk said about the cards is true, then I would discard a blue to force talon to choose between blue and red.

Nominate: Talon

Voting may commence for the Doug/Talon government. 4 votes are needed to confirm. The current policy score is as follows:

Fascists - 2
Liberals - 1

GM Oldfield

GM Eli

The government has met and have enacted a...

Liberal Policy

The liberals draw even with the score now being 2 Fascist policies passed, and 2 Liberal policies passed.

Talking may resume. Powers is now President. Doug and Talon are ineligible to be Chancellor..

Talon

I received one blue, one red.

GM Dougie

Cards were exactly as kirk stated. 2 blues and 1 red. And I did as I said and discarded a blue.

GM Pancho

First, I'm just glad a blue policy passed - Second, since everyone knew what was coming and how to play it I am woe to give TOO much credit - but that's twice now Talon has passed a blue policy.

GM Mike Powers

Seeking noms but leaning Kirk.

GM Franchise

Do wha4 you gotta do. Testing the more people the better and I don't trust him so go with it. I'm very highly interested to see if a red policy is passed if he's chosen so I'm definitely a yes vote on this.

GM Dougie

I'm down with kirk as chancellor but I'd probably vote no in this government since kirk/powers played a red. Powers/kirk could do the same.

Have a different suggestion that you would vote for?

Just quit stalling and pick Kirk to test him after his red administration. Go for it is my advice.

GM Oldfield

I find it strange you are learning to Kirk when you and Kirk have already been an administration and picked a red.

Talon

I'd prefer a Powers/Pancho government

GM Mike Powers

Exactly why I wanna pick him, to see if he was a victim of drawing 3 reds (meaning someone else was lying prior), or if he's shady.

Nominate Kirk

GM Dougie

Vote: No

I would have gone Pancho.

Again my issue isn't kirk right now it's that specific combo so I'm doing what I said I'd do.

GM Oldfield

I just don't like the same combos unless it's really justified

Vote no

GM Mike Powers

GM Kirk

Vote yes.

I know I'm alright, so it'll be blue as long as I'm given one to play.

GM Franchise

Vote: Yes

I'm very interested to see what policy is passed so that's the reason for this vote.

Talon

GM Eli

Deadline to vote for the Powers/Kirk government is June 4th at 8am eastern standard time. Current vote tally is as follows:

Yes - 3 (Powers, Kirk, Franchise)
No - 3 (Doug, Oldfield, Talon)

GM Pancho

GM Eli

Liberal Policy

GM Franchise

Glad I voted Yes going by this. Me arguing with Kirk benefits no one so I'll refrain from that. That said if you want to check me in the same fashion I'm down.

GM Mike Powers

I had 2 reds and a blue. I discarded a red.

GM Dougie

Two things:

1) I can admit I was wrong not to trust. Good play.

2) IF everyone was telling the truth, the next draw has a blue in it. The draws were (correct me if I'm wrong)

3 reds
2 blues 1 red
3 reds
2 blues 1 red
1 blue 2 reds

If truth is told, that guarantees a blue and a red and then the third card would be random from the previous discards which consist of 2 blues and 8 reds

GM Pancho

Can't quite put my finger on it but I'm unlikely to support a Doug or Talón government.

GM Oldfield

Interesting as Doug is the one I feel confident in being liberal the most. I don't think you would continually go back to the card counting if you weren't liberal but maybe it's a clever double bluff.

Either way I am sticking with my gut.

nominate Doug

Obviously my vote is yes

Oldfield/Doug government is up for voting. Deadline will be June 8th at 12 noon Eastern. Current vote tally is as follows:

Yes - 1 (Oldfield)
No - 1 (Pancho)

GM Dougie

Honestly I'm the 2nd best choice based on currently eligibility. Talon is best but he's president next.

I'll play blue as long as he hands me one. And there will be one if Oldfield is liberal and no one lied thus far. Feel like that's a stretch.

But I'll vote yes because if we do get screwed I get to pick special president round which would likely be powers at this point in the game.

Vote: Yes

GM Mike Powers

Vote yes

I see no reason not to. A vague "feeling" isn't enough for me, sorry Pancho.

GM Franchise

Vote: Yes

I haven't seen any reason to vote no on anybody at this point.
