What a weird way to play the game. If I'm not mistaken Bennett first told us he couldn't recruit and could only save people by using his syringe. Then it was that by saving someone they would become part of the church. Now he can use the syringe on himself but also try to anoint someone?

Interesting because Ed visited Pancho last night so something clearly is going on there and my hunch about Ed is likely correct going by the information that you shared.

Not you and just in case it's not game over I'm going to out the info I know from last night that I kept quiet about in just a second. I already targeted you Night One and it was the only other time it was unsuccessful. Why the hell are you so worried about being confirmed? Didn't we have this Hider discussion the last day phase? C'mon, man!

Here's what happened last night. I targeted Pancho again and was going to use the Cure Bullet that I got from him the last time I targeted him on him. Call it a hunch but I don't think he's a Survivor. That said whoever the Supernatural Recruiter was (possibly Justin) tried to recruit me and the one shot Cure ability I got last night (ironically from targeting Pancho again) kept me from being recruited. There is a Supernatural Recruiter and the fact that they're targeting me says I'm close to figuring shit out.

Kirk, you're 100% town. You're also the only person I'm positive cannot be recruited. I've already said that Pancho who is I'm looking at next so I'm very intrigued as to why you're so worked up for no reason over me not confirming you.

"You guys, like, I'm supes cereal," her voice is like nails on a chalkboard for some, but many around the city are absolutely in love with her. There's an outcry all across the city as the famous social media influencer is pulled into the television frame.

"You realize," a man whispers to the woman at the podium. "If you pull this trigger, right or wrong, the city will be in an uproar."

"We have no choice," she says, before pulling out a gun and firing it at her.

The social media influencer falls over as the bullet pierces her shoulder. There's a moment of silence as everyone is shocked... but then a roar echoes throughout the room as she jumps back to her feet, fangs flicking out of her mouth. The vampire lets out a howl as the woman behind the podium is handed a different gun, this one with an ultraviolet bullet clearly loaded, as she fires again.

A yelp echoes throughout the room as the vampire hits the tiled floor, sliding across leaving a streak of blood.

After the dust settled, the city was in an uproar. Starrxx fans all over Darkness Falls streamed out of their homes to protest, shutting the city down for an entire day.

Apologies, I fucked up... again. No excuse, but I was trying to hurry and get the write up done, and got the two inactive players roles mixed up. So, the write up will continue as normal as Powers is being modkilled. I'm going to make some flavor/group edits, though. So, re-check it over once that's done. Then read the following for the actual lynch:



"Although the city has closed down, we managed to find one more scourge on this city," the woman speaks behind her podium once more.

"Yes, he must be put down," a voice calls out from the crowd. The man, who is chained up next to the podium, turns toward the voice with a shocked and pained expression on his face.

"You fucking betray me?" He calls out, bursting out of the chains as his muscles begin to bulge and get covered in fur. The werewolf charges at the speaker, ripping his throat out, before being shot with a silver bullet of his own.

Werewolves lucked out with Justin/Kirk recruitment, but other than that were very unlucky targeting people who either couldn't be cursed or were protected by Doug.

The game was supposed to be filled with much more fuckery but Bennett being immediately outed and Ed getting got quickly kind of ruined that. With anointment and infection some players were going to be able to hop from faction to faction, it just never materialized due to Bennett getting outed and unlucky targets while he was still alive.

I wish I would've worded the Survivor's win condition differently as I think that made some players a bit apathetic once the mechanics were revealed. In truth, it wasn't a real wincon. The game wouldn't (and didn't) end until there were zero survivors, due to the nature of recruitment. I needed to give them something, so just went with the survivor-esque wincon.

Due to this, there was also a whole other faction for if a survivor died as a survivor. It never materialized but I think it could've been really fun.

Let me know if you have questions, and again apologies for the fuck ups.

Oh, one more explanation, on why Powers and Justin survived so long. You guys kept speed lynching so they were never given enough time in the day for me to officially give them their third strike and modkill them.

First off, I appreciated how you worded the wincon for survivor as it helped my argument with survivors being able to survive with the church (even if it didn't work out in my favor)

I also appreciate the recruits not being able to talk with the recruiter, that made it so much harder to play with.

The game was very fun to play and read after death. I was thinking 3 factions I didn't expect 4 and it made my understand why people were so against me its because they were all freaking monster scum.

Really enjoyed that one Evans well done! Was a really interesting, unique dynamic that left me eager to find out what would happen next. I always felt I knew what was going on but in reality I didn't have a clue.

Got lucky with some of my recruits. I felt Pancho was most likely to question me and suss me out and felt he's got a lot of Mafia experience. Then when I found out Fosters was an investigator I felt it was only a matter of time before he investigated me. I then we tried to recruit Kirk and failed.

I made up the whole 'huntsmen' stuff. Eli almost caught me out as well.

Probably the most contentious issue seems to be that vampires were allowed to communicate and had a chat group. All the other groups didn't?

Vampires and Werewolves had their own chats because they had the "weakest" recruit ability.

The Church didn't have a chat because he could heal anyone who had already been recruited. Which means if he was able to anoint Pancho, Pancho would've joined the Holy Church but still had access to everything you guys were doing.

Anyone who targeted Patient Zero would be recruited, unless Ed was using one of his 3 active recruits (which I added because not everybody had an active ability that could target him). He could also steal recruits from others too.

Either of those groups with the ability to communicate with one another would've been way too OP

Should have hid behind me on Night One and joined the winning side!  What's funny is according to Oldfield in the chatzy you were his preferred target night one until I started poking around ... then the thought of if you can't beat em - join em came into play.

Reading the whole breakdown I see how the mechanics were going to work out as well as Bennett's frustration and explanation of his role to the rest of us.  Obviously his role was meant to work as a town role but once he got outed and I had to play to my win condition I was going to do everything in my power to make him look bad.

Ed being caught so quickly was also a shame as neither the Vampires or Werewolves were immune to infection.  I had warned Oldfield in the chat about recruit chats being neighbors instead of masons but it doesn't look like that was a risk -- or maybe it could have come into play?

Who was Carl Danvers?  I take it they were responsible for the Headlines?!  You see Bennett i knew it was a role - I was just wrong about the church having that power - but of course I was trying to paint you guys very poorly since I needed y'all gone to meet my win condition.  We good fam?

Also can we get a breakdown of what the mod errors were? What the corrections were? And what was intended to happen?

Like I noticed another one - Tritch didn't name a Mafia MVP ... think we know who that goes too ;)

The MVP was the Vampire recruiter. Bennett took himself out with bad play. That ruined the Church's chances. Plus the fact that by then most of the Survivors weren't Survivors didn't help their chances either. I was onto Ed very early and that took the zombies out which definitely effected the game. Werewolves lost a lot with the double elimination plus they failed to recruit me the night before that happened because I targeted Pancho and the cure was automatically used on my to avoid recruitment.

Also I was onto you too, Josh. Before the mod error you were my original Night 7 target but switched it to Pancho both nights instead.

What Tritch said is true. I just missed the night one deadline. I missed night 5 also but I was going to skip using my ability that night anyway. Just got real busy last weekend and forgot to tell Tritch that.

I liked the role a lot, but it probably could have been a lot more influential if I had been recruited earlier on. Was fun either way.
